Embodied Life Seminar with Russell and Linda Delman

Event Details

This event finished on 03 November 2019

The Embodied Life

The Embodied Life™ is an approach to human transformation based on the integration of meditation, Feldenkrais movement and self-inquiry. All practices are focused on being fully present in authentic, warm-hearted and curious ways.

Having a sense of friendliness with one’s mind and at home in one’s body is the ground for deep peace. From this ground we can bring our most creative gifts into the world. Those experienced or new to these practices are welcome.

This seminar: Spatial Awareness

Spatial awareness is often a missing or undervalued aspect of embodiment. This awareness orients in two directions – the vast inner spaces that exist within our physical bodies and the outer spaces that surrounds us at every moment. This outer space includes the physical as well as social environment, both of which inform our living at every moment.

The teachers

I have had the privilege of studying with him only a handful of times over my years as a Feldenkrais teacher, yet Russell has had a profound impact on me and my work. It is my great pleasure and honor to bring him here to the Boston area to deepen my own experience with his work, and to share it with you.

Russell Delman began to study Zen meditation and somatic psychology in 1970 as undergraduate student in psychology. His training and personal relationship with Moshe Feldenkrais began in 1975, and he has since helped train more than 2500 Feldenkrais teachers all over the world. In recent years, Russell’s close friendship with Eugene Gendlin(“Focusing”) has strongly influenced his work. Other powerful influences include Non-Violent Communication and his work with Mother Theresa in India. Russell offers Seminars, Retreats and a three year mentorship program the The Embodied Life™ School.

Linda Delman

Linda Evans Delman, has been an international consultant and educator in the fields of Psychology, Conscious Movement, and Spirituality for over 30 years. She trained directly with Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. She has been deeply influenced by Spacial DynamicsTM, Eurythmy, Meditation, Prayer and Mother Nature. She joined the faculty of The Embodied Life School in 2015

“Human transformation requires the movement from fear to love as our basic operating principle. Presence is the door, Embodiment is the key.”

NOTE: due to logistical challenges, this week-end seminar has been combined with the NYC seminar the following week, November 8-10.
